Michael Epstein
President
Michael has been involved in the lifestyle sports industry both personally and professionally for over 20 years. An Ironman Triathlon Finisher, Michael has competed in numerous endurance events, including triathlons, mountain bike races and adventure races. A graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, he started his career in Operations and Production Management in the Offshore Oil and Recording industries. Michael started MESP, Inc. after producing the first Malibu Triathlon as a hobby. He also enjoys hobbies such as swimming, cycling, motocross and activities with his wife and son.

Blake Carey
Race Director
Blake graduated from University of Florida with a BS in Sport Management and Minor in Business Administration. He recently moved to the Los Angeles area from Denver where he worked in the sports event field since 2006 planning a varietly of tournaments all over the USA. Blake enjoys being outside, active and playing team sports.

Libby Mooney
Marketing Manager
Originally from Arizona, Libby attended college at Pepperdine University. After falling in love with the Southern California beach, she decided to stay at Pepperdine for her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She looked to MESP to turn her lifelong love of sports into a career. Her hobbies include hiking, traveling, and running.

Kyle Ballard
Race Coordinator
Kyle has been working and participating in lifestyle sports since he was first introduced to MESP in college. Originally from San Francisco, Kyle graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Communications. After completing the MESP Internship program in 2007, Kyle became a fulltime member of the team, and in 2010 he completed his first Ironman triathlon. When he isn’t training for the next big event you will most likely find him hiking, practicing yoga or riding around town on his beach cruiser.

Cole Groszewski
Assistant Race Coordinator
Born and raised in Southern California, Cole finds hiking, exercise and beaches irresistible. He was first introduced to MESP shortly after receiving his BS in Business from California State University Channel Islands. With his passion for the outdoors and athletics, he has become immersed in MESP culture.

Suzie Davis
Administrator of Athlete Services
Suzie is from Oxnard, CA where she was born and raised. She attended Saint Mary’s College of California where she received her BA in Kinesiology- Sport and Recreation Management and a minor in Business Administration in May 2011. She has played multiple sports since childhood, so MESP has become the perfect fit as a career. Some of her hobbies are playing tennis, spending time with her two younger sisters, and training her new puppy.

Erica Taylor
Administrator of Athlete Services
Erica, originally from Duvall, Washington, graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in December 2011. She has had a passion for the outdoors and athletics since she can remember, so MESP is a great way for her to stay involved in what she loves to do. Her hobbies include playing basketball, boating, running, and camping.

Kylie McDonald
Administrator of Athlete Services
Born and raised in Westlake Village, California, Kylie graduated from UC Santa Barbara in June 2011. Competing at the Division 1 level for the Women’s soccer team at UCSB, sports have played a major role in Kylie’s life thus far. Passionate about a career in sports, Kylie has found MESP to be the perfect environment to stay actively involved and connected with the athletic community. In her free time she enjoys running, traveling and spending time outdoors.
