Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to - assisting with athlete relations, assisting with marketing and race coordination duties, and special projects involved with developing events.
Requirements: Must be very well organized, outgoing, creative, responsible, and possess strong communication skills. Students with majors in business, communications, public relations, and advertising are preferred. Interest in the sports business and event marketing is a plus, but not required. IBM PC knowledge.

Logistics Internship (Spring 2014)

Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Internship/Assistant Race Coordinator is responsible for assisting the coordination the logistics for various lifestyle events throughout California and the United States. Duties include: -Researching, coordinating and managing rentals for event activities -Hiring event staff -Assisting with event set up/tear down -Maintenance and control of equipment and supplies -Following an event budget -Volunteer recruitment and coordination -Acquiring event permits -Other race-related and office administrative duties
This is a part-time position designed to train intern with entry-level race management skills. They will be assisting, under supervision of Race Coordinators, to plan, implement and manage events including triathlons, adventure races, bicycle races and others. Position is for 3 months, potentially longer based on candidate.
Requirements: The candidate should have administrative, phone and communication skills, decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and be resourceful and organized. Should understand core sports of swimming, road biking, and running and have an interest in producing sporting events as a future occupation. IBM computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel. Ability to supervise, write effectively, and possess superior communication skills. Position is based out of Agoura Hills, CA office and must be available to work some weekends and travel for events.

Celebrity Coordinator Intern
This position would be responsible for the following tasks: • Emailing and placing phone calls to existing celebrity relationships • Outreaching to celebrity participants that we do not have an existing relationship with – cold requests • Continually mining and outreaching for new celeb participants • Coordinating pre-event travel • Preparing and shipping celebrity confirmation packets • Managing celebrity participants at the race
The candidate must: • Be professional • Work well under pressure • Possess meticulous organizational skills • Possess strong administrative skills • Be interested in entertainment industry and the sport of triathlon • Be available to work 20 hours a week from July – September • Be available to work the weekend of September 7th and 8th
